Join us for an exciting event at Gold Butte. In celebration of Gold Butte becoming a National Monument, on Sunday, April 2, we will meet on campus at 6:30am, and drive about 2 hours away to participate in a trash removal and enjoy the park. We will start with a safety talk, spend a couple of hours removing trash, break for lunch, and then go on a hike to see the Falling Man pictograph! We plan to be back on campus by 5:30pm. You must wear long pants, and closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle if you have one. We will provide sunscreen and lunch. If you have any dietary restrictions, or any other needs, please let us know 5 days in advance or we may not be able to accommodate you.
Long pants, closed-toe shoes, bring a water bottle please (email email@example.com if you need one 5 days in advance).
|Perks||Free lunch, seeing one of the newest national monuments, contributing to improving the park.|
|Parking Details||We have 12 spots in the UNLV van, otherwise, we will need folks to carpool. Parking is free on campus on the weekends. We will depart from campus and return to campus after the event.|
