About

The mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The Boys and Girls Clubs are non-profit organizations that provide after-school and summer programs for children ages 6-18 (most Club members are between 8 and 13). After School Volunteers help with any number of the following: homework tutoring, games room, art room, computer instructor, gym attendant, robotics, drama club, library, etc. Each of the four clubs have somewhat different programming and different atmospheres. Students with particular interests have started specialized programs or clubs such as gardening, healthy eating, comic books and environmental sustainability. Volunteers with specific skills or interests are welcome to propose new ideas or to lead curriculum available from the Boys and Girls Club on various topics.
