Fredericksburg SPCA

About

Welcome to the volunteer page for the Fredericksburg SPCA!  There are a variety of tasks our volunteers help out with every day and we would love for you to join the Fred SPCA Volunteer/Foster Family!

In order to remain an active volunteer you must complete at least 2 hours of volunteer service a month or let our volunteer coordinator know. There is a $25 fee to volunteer with us and you get a cool SPCA Volunteer t-shirt as well. Please be mindful that when you are a volunteer with us, you represent the SPCA so it is important to be kind, thoughtful and meaningful through all interactions at the SPCA.

If you need to complete Court Ordered Community Service hours please email Volunteer@fredspca.org to get the extra application. This is important because without completing this form we will not be able to give you a letter or appreciation for your hours spent volunteering with us.

Volunteer Hours: 9 AM - 6PM

Just submitted our application. I'm doing this so my 10 year old granddaughter can start her volunteering experience. She is currently Fostering Cats for the SPCA and is awesome at it. She felt she could give back more if she could additionally come in to the facility and help. We love animals in our home and all of them have been rescues. We are both looking forward to this.
I just finished my application. I would love to volunteer! I’m currently working towards being a Veterinary technician and I would love to help take care of the animals at the SPCA.
Just finished my application and am very excited to start volunteering anytime!
Hello I just finished my application and I am looking forward to volunteering
I do truly believe a pet -dog or cat- keeps people physically and mentally healthy. A pet is the fountain of youth!
Would love love to volunteer every other saturday. Many hours available on those Saturdays. I love animals and am about to go to college in persuit of becoming an Animal control officer, so I want to help and get my foot through the door and learn how the SPCA works.
Hello Everyone!

In the next day or so, I will be editing and tweaking the subgroups on here just to clean things up a bit. So if you see a group removed or changed, don't worry. We will get you all sorted out. I will also be adding new groups for Doggy Day Care, Transports, and possibly some other things. SO, be on the look out for those incase you may want to join!
Hey Folks!

To lend a hand to Kayte, our fabulous P.E.T.S Coordinator, she has some boxes for us to move. So if you are volunteering in the next couple of days and see boxes of paper and files outside of the clinic door, if you could move them to Narnia, we would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you all so much!
Good morning! I have applied to be a first time volunteer. While my experience in volunteering with the SPCA would be new, my experience with having multiple cats/dogs (fur babies - all rescues) extends for decades. My career as an RN may provide to be useful in spotting any early signs of illness. It would be my pleasure to assist the SPCA in continuing to provide this great service. Thank you for your consideration!
I would absolutely love to help out the animals in anyway that I can at Fredericksburg SPCA!
