I went to ACC#2 to help Keeghan set up at 7am. Once the event started I did some photography of a few of the MTLD sessions, helped set up up the rooms, and assisted with any tech problems that arose. After the event, I helped Keeghan make sure every room was clean, and all the trash was taken to the dumpsters.
I changed the old files into the bigger blue folders for Blanca.
I began a new project that consists of scanning old files. These files were taking up some space needed in the office. I also found out that I will be moving from my cube to another part of the office, so I'm excited.
Created new food signs for ACC #2, cleaned previous signage, sorted snacks, built walkie-talkies, printed and taped notes to walkie-talkies.
Today I worked with volunteers from UNLV APO and Pre-Dental Society during my OSB shift. We helped high and middle school students picked out new clothes and school materials.
Today I helped the inbound call center by scheduling, modifying, and cancelling donation pickups.
I helped Bonnie with the high school mentors again. There were some changes that had to be made because students moved away so we had to make new arrangements. I also helped Bonnie and Martha (the counselor) arrange the FACE parent meeting that was taking place that morning at 9 am. There was a low parent show up. I helped Bonnie put up her attendance board. I helped with lunch duty again. The kids were in trouble due to not disciplinary issues so we had to lecture them. Me and Bonnie also discussed the Trunk or Treat event taking place next Wednesday. We also talked about possible new donations.
I wrote over 1,000 participant cards for 3 different schools.
Worked on graphics, scheduled posts.
Spend the rest of the day continuing to pack dog food. Did a lot more this time than last time. I might try to do outreach next week, now that it's cooling down.
On October 16th, I made 25 CAP folders for future firm visits.
On my shift this day, I assisted with the organizations 20th annual gala preparation by organizing the volunteer badges. I also joined the development team in one of their meetings and ordered/picked up Olive Garden for them as well. To end my shift, I logged volunteer hours on the sales force database.
